Choosing Our Fate

This is a picture of a depleted uranium bomb or DU or Dirty Bomb.  Depleted uranium is a waste obtained from producing fuel for nuclear reactors and atom bombs.  They were used extensively in Gulf War I, War in Iraq, Afghanistan, and today in Libya.   They are extremely effective at blowing up their target.

The Dark side of the Dirty, however, is that as the bomb explodes small toxic particles are let out in to the air which can be and often are breathed by our troops and of course others in the area which can cause catastrophic birth defects as seen below and right.

We may never know how much uranium if not plutonium,  has been leaked from Japan but pictures don't lie; parts of the buildings blew up more than once while  cameras were rolling.   Food and water are now testing positive for radiation.   Uranium leaked and may still be   leaking while Obama flees waaaay south of the Jet Stream.

Across the continent from Japan, DU bombs are being liberally lobbed into Libya.

The same is true for Afghanistan and Pakistan.

I assure you, I posted only the most respectable looking photos of children with birth defects.  I could not bring myself to post any of the others because they have a most lasting sad effect.

These children are just two reasons why our leaders must be held to account for what they do.  

If we can ever figure out how to stop them, that is what we must do.

We write them, we rally and protest, we write letters to the editors, we march around every city in the country, we vote them out of office, we take them to court, we organize against them, we chain ourselves to the fence at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, we blog nastily against them;  yet,  we cannot stop them.  They do the same egregious things today that they did yesterday adding layer upon layer of lies and deceit.

If 535 of our stupid 'leaders' cannot be stopped by millions of  people who are generally smart, we will undoubtedly ultimately incinerate ourselves.   And deserve our fate.
