Citizen Cellphone Reporters
Events in Bahrain are distressing in at least two ways.
Cell phone pictures are coming in from today's protests in the streets around Pearl Square. Completely unarmed protesters on foot have been shot at and many have been killed by military men in tanks. Even after men fell in bloody heaps in the middle of the road, the survivors did not scatter, did not back off and regroup, did not hit the ground and play dead. They just continued to chant.
That's distressing.
Bahrain is our friend we are told. The Navy's Fifth Fleet is there we are told. That's distressing.
Foreign policy of the US is coming out of the closet.
Without any analysis at all we can easily say our policy is obviously one of appeasement. Foreign policy mirrors domestic policy perfectly. 'Spread the wealth around,' form meaningless relationships of convenience, keep everyone hooked on the money and hope they never 'wake up,' and if a taxpayer asks about anything tell them how hard everything is and how hard you are working. Then go eat and play golf.
We don't need the CIA anymore we have discovered. They don't know anything and they make things up. People with cell phones are proving to be more reliable. Think of the money we'll save.
Maybe we don't need the State Department. Those highly paid people have been held up in these Arab countries long enough to know something about them and to submit an urgent report saying that these people are quite like savages, perhaps we ought to relocate the Fifth Fleet, and we ought to quit supporting dictators, murderers and savages.
Our elite 'leaders' have the best degrees from only the best universities. Bluntly, they have shown themselves to be stupid, short-sighted, lazy, narcissistic, lying incompetents. They have brought shame to our nation.
Citizen Cell Phone Reporters! Can we dub you CPR's? You are going to save this nation!
